I would like preference option so that after opening a hyperlink carbon automatically returns to TIMELINE. Otherwise I invariably open link, do long sweep gesture to get back to carbon (let link open in background), back gesture to get back to TIMELINE.
When ideally I would just like to open link from timeline (or from individual Tweet page - as currently implemented) and then go back to TIMELINE automatically and not even the card/link I have just opened.

That's a very cool feature to have, we might add it as configurable option that you could choose from the preferences to open URLs in the background instead.

Very glad you're looking at this as I've been meaning to request this for a while. I have one small suggestion...as tweets sometimes contain multiple links, it may be better to stay on the detail scene. Instead could you do something in the timeline like tap and hold on the link, so that the detail scene is skipped altogether?

We could do that, but the current design behind the timeline would make such a feature slow down the scrolling. We're looking at hold gestures on timeline for a variety of actions, let's see what we're going to come up with. Once again, thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming :)
