There's an option for that, in order to do that you could enable Compose Card in the preferences. Using a compose card, every time you tap the New Tweet button it will open the composition screen in a separate card so that you upload the photo and do all the work and still be able to go back to your main Card and browse your timeline. Hope that helps :)
