Deleted tweets take awhile to disappear from timeline

I deleted one of my own tweets last night and hit refresh button, and it still showed. I opened up 3 other twitter clients and it was gone but Carbon still showed it in my timeline even after multiple refreshes. I closed the app and re-opened it, and still there after refresh. This was the case for 5-10 minutes and then all of a sudden it finally disappeared. Is this a caching issue or what?

    Hey Kris,

    When you delete a tweet from Carbon, it gets deleted at Twitter end but for now we don't remove it from the timeline. We'll have this fixed real soon. Thanks for bringing it up. Keep your feedback coming.

    thanks.. Was going out of my mind... Is the a way to manually deleete the cache?
