Reauthorization problems
I am unable to reauthorize my Palm Pre -, which I have meta-doctored to 2.1.
I have used Carbon on this phone since beta with no issue but recently I was finding issues with opening links from within Carbon.
As the reauthorization process requires the user, aka me, to open twitter in a separate card by pressing the "begin Authorization" button I have been unable to make it past that point.
I have tried everything up to and including looking for ways to authorize Carbon from my computer somehow but I have been unable to find an answer.
I've attempted on both WiFi and 3g, with Universe AND Web, rebooted and still nothing changes. The date and time on my phone is definitely accurate.

Hey Dan,
It seems like the app is failing in the step before openning the browser card for you where it receives some data from Twitter prior to sending you to the web page. Somethings going wrong on that end. Try deleting Carbon and installing it again, as this looks like a Carbon issue not your phone. Try reinstalling it and check if it works.

I suppose there would be something that I had forgotten to mention. I have already attempted deleting Carbon off of my phone and then reloading it. It did not change the issue.
Thanks for quickly thinking up an attempted solution. I welcome other solutions if you can think of any.

Can you see what's the URL that the browser opens at? That'll help. I think I have a lead for this issue. When you tap on Start Authorization and the page opens, can you paste the URL of the page here?

The Browser opens the new card but there is no URL, it opens as if the card had no address inputted into it. it says: "enter URL or search term" it's a blank white card.
the card pops up, loads for a few seconds, displays a white blank card and sits there.

So in that case, even the Authorization Number field is still disabled right? This is very odd, scratching my head on this one.... is your time set manually or by network? I remember u said your date/time is set correctly. But is it set manually or by network?

by network.
the field where I would put an authorization number is open, I can fill it with whatever numbers I like but because I don't know which numbers would link it to my Twitter account it's useless.

Are you running the Beta version by any chance?

nope :) Happily paid 2.99 the day it came out. I'd been waiting for the full flavored version.
Full version and had no problems authorizing the full version when I moved to it from Beta.

I jus' figured you're not...it's definitely a Network issue or a work of some patch... the problem is I'm not able to reproduce this problem for me to be able to fix it right away... still scratching my head over this one....

I'll do what I can and try to remove all patches except for preware. Maybe one of the more recent patches or tweaks might account for it but I doubt it.

Removing patches did the trick... Guess I know what IM not reinstalling on my pre when I get Carbon Back. :)
